How we work

Many of our clients have never worked with a designer before so a common question we hear in our showroom is “how does this all work?”

It’s simple. We listen and do all the work for you!

As an example, let’s say you have an empty dining room but are planning to entertain and you want the room to look perfect. You want a table that seats eight framed by an elegant rug, a beautiful chandelier, luxurious window treatments, accessories and a centerpiece.

Upon meeting one of our designers you decide to move forward with the project. It should take no more than two or three appointments and no more than two weeks to create a perfect room plan, get your approval, and place the order.

First appointment: Our designer comes to your home to determine your needs and desires and get a sense of your style. This fact finding time is very important to make sure the final presentation is perfect. Details such as color preference, quantity of sunlight, anticipated traffic flow, lifestyle, etc. are all very important. They will also take measurements and photos of the room to make sure that the scale of the furnishings selected are just right.

A budget will be established along with a timeline up to the expected completion date. We work within your budget, and your budget will determine the level of choice, individuality, and exclusivity. As an example, if you want a piece of art on your wall, do you buy a framed print, a limited edition, an original oil painting, or an investment quality original?

Second appointment: The designer will show you preliminary color, fabric, and furniture selections to make sure they are on the right path to fulfilling your dream for the room.

Third appointment (if necessary): The presentation! Your designer will show you a complete room plan with all fabrics, colors, finishes, and furnishings and tell you how they will all work together.

Once all the orders are placed with the various manufacturers, we will call you regularly with updates up to the point of installation. The designer will be on site in your home while deliveries and installations are in process. Upon completion, the designer accessorizes the room and you suddenly have a dining room that looks like it belongs in a magazine!
